Facebook is a social networking website which allows people
to communicate with friends and family and share some of the experiences with
them and the best part about it was it was free and it did exactly what it was
created for. This is what Facebook meant couple of years ago but social media
has changed so much that it has turned the entire world of marketing, business
and advertising and how they function and how people communicate with each
other. It has changed the way what people perceive social media and its uses
have surpassed communication and experience sharing.
Facebook has changed its layout and setting so many times
that it has begun to annoy its users. People have started blogging and posting videos
and comments regarding its changes. Yet Facebook comes back with one reply to
all those reviews that is Facebook is evolving to keep up with the changes in
world of social media, but not all people buy this answer. People feel that changes
in the site are not for the convenience of its users but for the convenience of
its advertisers or business that exist on this site. People feel that Facebook
has become more of an advertising billboard rather than a social networking
site and is more of a business friendly rather than a user friendly site.
All of this brings us to one question by providing the social
networking platform for free has face book made us into an audience to the
marketing agencies rather than the actual users? Will these actions by Facebook
make way for Google + to become the dominant player in the world of social
networking sites? Only time will tell!

Interesting, but when something is addictive very little can make anyone give it up, unless its life threatening. So even though users are complaining they're still logging on to FB!! They may open new accounts in other social sites but they, no doubt will visit FB at least once a day! Change or no change. So really does all this complaining really make a difference?
ReplyDeleteI don't think the changes will push people away, it will simply annoy them and they will get over it. FB has done this a whole heap of times and the backlash is always amazing, but no one tends to follow through on their anger, they are still there a week later.

I Agree with both u guys but previously there was never a platform which had similar features like Facebook except orkut but now there is Google + where the number of people joining is increasing. I'm just saying people might not quit using Facebook but this might just give Google + an opportunity to grow.
